7. Is work duty the same thing as concession stand duty? What is concession stand duty?

  • Concession stand duty is one of the work duty options you may choose. To ensure the smooth operation of the concession stand, each family MUST take their turn operating the concession stand.

The concession stand will be open during regularly scheduled games during each season. Two hour shifts will be assigned once the game schedules are know. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the shift to ensure a smooth transistion between volunteers. Instructions will be posted in the concession stand. Be sure to sign off on the schedule posted in the concession stand after our shift is over.

8. It looks like rain -- is the game still on? Who should I call?

  • If it's raining or threatening to, it would be nice to know as soon as possible if a game has been cancelled or not. However, early cancellations are not always possible. The weather may be bad where you are, but dry at the playing field. The rule of thumb to follow is "Assume the game will be played until you hear otherwise from the coach."
