What is work duty? Is each family required to perform it? - Work
duty details can be found here. In addition to the registration fee, each
family is required to perform one work duty assignment per sport, qualify for
a work duty waiver, or pay the buy-out fee. The buy-out fee is $25.00 per child
for parishioners and $30.00 per child for non-parishioners.
Back
to Top 7. Is work duty the same thing
as concession stand duty? What is concession stand duty? - No,
you can buy out of the work duty assignment, however you cannot buy out of the
concession stand assignment. To ensure the smooth operation of the concession
stand, each family MUST take their turn operating the concession
stand.
The concession stand will be open during regularly scheduled
games during each season. Each team must assign one or two parents to operate
the concessions during all home games. Every family is expected to man the stands
for one of their child's games - there is no buyout provision. Plan to arrive
15 minutes before the scheduled game time to take over from the previous game's
parents. Instructions will be posted in the concession stand. Be sure to sign
off on the schedule posted in the concession stand after our shift is over. Back
to Top 8. It looks like rain -- is
the game still on? Who should I call? - If it's raining or
threatening to, it would be nice to know as soon as possible if a game has been
cancelled or not. However, early cancellations are not always possible. The weather
may be bad where you are, but dry at the playing field. The rule of thumb to follow
is "Assume the game will be played until you hear otherwise from the coach."
