Children in grade K thru 8 are welcome to join the Incarnate Word track team. The team will participate in at least two practice meets in April and the annual CYC qualifier meet in late April or early May. If they qualify, they will compete in the CYC final meet in late May. Events include 50M, 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M and 1,600M runs, relays, long jump, high jump and shot put. Not all events are available to all ages. Practices will start in March. We will practice on Sundays from 2 to 3:15pm at the Parkway Central track. We will also have practices on a week night once a week from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Weekday practice locations may vary based on local high school tracks availability.
